TM22 Timekeeper
The Derya TM22 Timekeeper is the complete-package TM22: adjustable stock, suppressor-ready barrel and upgraded sights out of the box
Overview
The Derya TM22 Timekeeper is a semi-automatic .22 LR rifle built as a complete package for shooters who want more than a basic rimfire right out of the box. It starts with the proven TM22 semi-auto action and adds a push-button adjustable stock with basepad and cheek riser, a full-length rear Picatinny rail and an 18" threaded, suppressor-ready barrel (1/2x28, 1:16" six-groove rifling). The upgraded sight package comes installed: a high-visibility ramped front sight paired with a rail-mounted rear sight, so there is no sight swap before your first range trip, and the rear rail is ready for an optic when you are. At about 4.85 lbs and 36" overall it stays light and balanced for long range sessions, plinking and small-game hunting. It ships with two 10-round magazines and is offered in Grey, FDE and ODG polymer with black anodized metal components. Always The Underdog.

Frequently Asked Questions on TM22 Timekeeper
About the TM22 Timekeeper
Q: What is the TM22 Timekeeper?
A: A semi-automatic .22 LR rifle built as the complete-package TM22: the proven TM22 semi-auto action with a push-button adjustable stock (basepad and cheek riser), an 18" threaded, suppressor-ready barrel, a full-length rear Picatinny rail and an upgraded sight package installed (high-visibility ramped front sight and rail-mounted rear sight). It takes every TM22 magazine.
Q: What is the difference between the Timekeeper and the TM22 Standard?
A: Same proven semi-automatic action and the same 18" barrel length, so the two rifles have the same inherent accuracy. The Timekeeper adds a push-button adjustable stock with cheek riser and adjustable basepad, a barrel threaded 1/2x28 for a suppressor, a full-length rear Picatinny rail and an upgraded sight package (high-visibility ramped front sight and rail-mounted rear sight), and it ships with two magazines instead of one. The adjustable stock and installed sights make that accuracy easier to shoot. The Standard has a fixed-length stock adjusted with basepad spacers and an unthreaded barrel.
Q: What does the receiver marking TM22-A-18 mean?
A: It is the factory model marking: A = semi-automatic, 18 = the barrel length in inches. Every 18" semi-automatic TM22 carries it, including the Standard and the Feather, so the item number on the box (TM22.TIME.18) is what identifies a Timekeeper.
Operation
Q: How do I load and unload it?
A: To load: with the safety on and the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, insert a loaded magazine until it clicks, pull the charging handle fully back and release it to chamber a round. To unload: put the safety on, remove the magazine, pull the charging handle back to eject the chambered round, and look and feel inside the chamber to confirm it is empty.
Q: What type of safety does it have?
A: A push-button safety. Keep it on until you are on target and ready to fire, and treat the rifle as loaded at all times.
Q: What is the trigger like?
A: A 2.5-lb flat-faced trigger with short take-up and a quick reset, the same trigger as the other semi-automatic TM22s.
Q: How does the Timekeeper stock adjust?
A: Press the button and slide the stock to change length of pull; the cheek riser adjusts for height behind an optic, and the basepad adjusts the fit at the shoulder. Base length of pull is 13".
Q: Can I shoot it left-handed?
A: Yes, but spent cases eject to the right, so a left-handed shooter may have brass pass close to the face or arm. Always wear eye protection.
Ammunition, Accuracy and Suppressors
Q: What ammunition should I use?
A: .22 LR only. As a blowback semi-automatic, it needs enough energy to cycle the action: the minimum is about 1,040 fps, and high-velocity loads in the 1,200 to 1,350 fps range run most reliably. CCI Mini-Mag, CCI Blazer, Norma Tac-22, Aguila Super Extra High Velocity and Browning BPR are good choices. Weak or inconsistent bulk loads are the most common cause of cycling problems.
Q: Can I shoot subsonic or standard-velocity ammunition?
A: It may not cycle reliably with subsonic loads (under about 1,050 fps), especially when new. Standard-velocity ammunition often runs after break-in. If you want quiet subsonic shooting, a manually operated TM22 (Pump, Bolt or Pull) runs every load.
Q: Is there a break-in period?
A: No break-in is required, but 200 to 500 rounds of high-velocity ammunition smooth the action and improve reliability with lighter loads.
Q: What causes failures to feed or eject?
A: Failures to feed usually come from a magazine that is not fully seated, a dirty feed ramp, or weak or inconsistent ammunition. Failures to eject usually come from a dirty extractor or ejector, dirt in the action, or ammunition too weak to cycle the bolt. Clean the action, extractor and ejector, switch to a quality high-velocity load, and make sure each magazine locks in.
Q: Can I put a suppressor on the Timekeeper?
A: Yes. The 18" barrel is threaded 1/2x28 for .22 LR rimfire suppressors, including the Derya OBone. High-velocity ammunition cycles most reliably; subsonic loads are quietest but may not cycle a semi-automatic. A suppressor is an NFA item and must be registered to you.
Q: What accuracy should I expect?
A: From a rest with quality ammunition, about 0.25" groups at 10 yards, 0.5" at 25 yards and 1.5" at 50 yards. Depending on the ammunition, groups under 1" at 50 yards are achievable. Every rimfire barrel has loads it prefers, so try a few quality high-velocity loads and stay with the one that groups best.
Q: How should I zero it?
A: The installed high-visibility ramped front sight and rail-mounted rear sight are ready to zero out of the box. For precision shooting or small game, a red dot or rimfire scope on the full-length rear rail is the better choice, and the ramped front sight can be removed for a clean optic setup. Zero at 25 yards for plinking or 50 yards for small game, with the ammunition you intend to use.
Reliability and Maintenance
Q: How do I clean it?
A: Clean every 500 to 1,000 rounds or after each range session. Field-strip as shown in the user manual, clean the bore from the breech with a bore snake, or a rod and brush with rimfire solvent, and scrub the bolt face, extractor, ejector and the inside of the receiver with a nylon brush and CLP. Put a light film of oil on the bolt and its rails. Keep the magazines dry: use dry lube only, because oil attracts grit.
Q: What should I do if a round does not fire?
A: Keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction and wait 30 seconds in case of a hang fire, then remove the magazine and pull the charging handle to eject the round. Rimfire primers occasionally fail; if it happens repeatedly with quality ammunition, stop shooting and contact Derya support.
Q: How should I deal with a squib load or a stuck bullet?
A: If a shot sounds or feels weak, stop immediately. Unload completely, keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction and look through the bore from the breech. Push a stuck bullet out from the breech end with a brass or wooden rod, tapping gently if needed and protecting the muzzle crown. Never fire another round behind an obstruction; if you are unsure, take it to a qualified gunsmith.
Q: How should I store it?
A: Unloaded, with the magazine removed, locked and out of reach of children and unauthorized users, in a cool, dry place with a light film of oil on the steel surfaces. Stored this way it has no shelf life; inspect and relubricate it every few months.
Legal and Compliance
Q: Is the TM22 Timekeeper legal in California, Maryland and Massachusetts?
A: Maryland: yes. The Timekeeper is not sold in California or Massachusetts. The TM22 Pump, Bolt and Pull are compliant in all three states.
Q: Is it an NFA item?
A: No. It is a rifle with an 18" barrel (16" is the federal minimum) and a 36" overall length. Never shorten the barrel below 16" or the overall length below 26".
