The Melik

The Melik, also known as the king, is a timeless single action double action 9mm pistol. This 17-round pistol (also offered with 15- and 10-round magazines) is accurate, reliable, and will go the distance. The safety and precision of this pistol makes it a winner for all scenarios. Finished with black Melonite slide and barrel, anodized black frame.

Grip
Standard and Two Tone Melik grips are black polymer; the Melik Gold has mahogany dark wood grips. The factory-exclusive nickel, camo and brown Meliks have black polymer grips.

Melik internal parts aren’t interchangeable.

Material used and Finish process 

For material used, Melik slide is forged 4140 steel. Barrel is 4140 Annealed Extruded Steel (heat treated, followed by crack inspection, then drilling, and finally machining).  For frame, we machine from 7075 Aluminum solid block.

For finish process, all slide and barrels are Melonite finish from Turkiye (in house). The aluminum is anodized in house. If your gun is Cerakoted or Ceramic Coating, we melonite first then cerakote for ultimate performance.

Melik vs. Beretta 92FS
Comparison of Two Firearms

Frame
The Melik's grip screws are set into a raised section of the frame, whereas the Beretta uses steel inserts. The Melik's screws are of a larger diameter, making it unlikely for wood or hard material grips to fit over them. Similarly, Beretta's wooden grips are incompatible with the Melik.
Melik diameter: .265”
Beretta diameter: .238”
While the grip screws can be swapped between the two, the grips themselves require adjustments and are not flush, depending on the manufacturer.
The magazine wells are similar, allowing magazines to fit both firearms. The Melik uses an ACT MAG Magazine.
The frame slide rails are nearly identical in width, with Melik at .840” and Beretta at .845”. However, the rail height differs, with Melik at .169” and Beretta at .175”.
The Beretta slide can be mounted on the Melik, but the Melik slide cannot be mounted on the Beretta frame due to the rail height difference.
Barrel cuts on the frame are compatible, allowing for barrel interchangeability.
The takedown lever and magazine release are interchangeable.
The trigger pin, trigger, and spring can be swapped.
The transfer bar is compatible.
Other frame components are similar but require fitting.

Slide
The firing pin blocks differ, leading to distinct slide cuts. The Melik has an oval top, while the Beretta is flat on one side.
Barrels and locking blocks are custom-fitted to the slide on both firearms.

Q: What is in the box? A: The pistol in a grey foam case with cutouts, a Derya bag with the user manual and WTTA flyer, one magazine (17-round, or 15- or 10-round on 15L and 10L items; the nickel, camo and brown factory exclusives include two), cleaning rod, gun brush and a gun lock.

Q: What warranty comes with the Melik, and how do I activate it? A: Derya provides a limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser (non-transferable) for the product's intended purpose. Abuse, unqualified gunsmithing, unauthorized alteration, improper ammunition and normal wear are excluded. Q: I don't see my Melik item number, UPC or finish listed, where is it? A: Every Melik is made in Turkiye (item numbers end in TR). Item numbers that start with 15L or 10L ship with a 15- or 10-round magazine instead of the 17-round. The nickel (C625), camo (C450K) and brown Cerakote (C511) Meliks are factory exclusives built in limited runs and sold through selected dealers; they are in the table below with two magazines each. If your item is not listed, contact support@deryaarms.us with the serial number and the UPC from the box.

Special Edition Melik (FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT 500 UNITS 2025)

There was limited run of Melik Pistols in 2025 (500 units FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT Series). Item 15L.FLR. MELIK9.TR and 10L.FLR. MELIK9.TR (UPC 850067243618 & 850067243625). Each came with a certificate of authenticity. Derya will not be making more of these. If questions on authenticity, please fill out customer inquiry form with serial number of item.
